Medical shop involved in illegal sale of drugs sealed

JAMMU, Dec 27: Medical shop involved in illegal sale of drugs has been sealed.
As per police sources, during the investigation of a case registered under FIR Number 164/19 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act with Police Station Channi Himmat, it was found that Umar Farooq, son of Farooq Ahmad of Danda, Bhaderwah, who was operating a medical shop under the name M/s Malik Medicate at Chatta, Sunjwan, was indulging in illegal sale of psychotropic drugs.
The matter was brought to the notice of the Drugs Inspector, Drug and Food Control Organization, Muthi, Jammu by SHO Channi Himmat.
Based on the recommendations of SHO Channi Himmat, the Drugs Inspector, Drug and Food Control Organization, Jammu issued orders for disallowing operations of the said medical shop untill further orders for contravention of S 22(d) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 for contravention of the act and rules made there under.
The order issued by the Deputy Controller was executed by the SHO Police Station Channi Himmat Inspector Parvez Sajad today.
