Jammu, Aug 21: Press Club of Jammu (PCJ) today declared open its newly constructed fully air conditioned Media Centre for the benefit of working journalists. The aim of constructing Media Centre was to provide a proper and well equipped space for working journalists.
Senior journalist and bureau chief Zee News, Raju Kerni inaugurated Media Centre along with senior journalist Banarsi Dutt in presence of president  PCJ Ashwani Kumar, secretary general PCJ Zorawar Singh Jamwal. Former PCJ president and senior journalist Manu Shrivatsa was also present on the occasion.
Newly inaugurated Media Centre is well furnished to accommodate about a dozen journalists with proper space for sitting. Media Centre is also equipped with proper space for using laptops and other gadgets.
While speaking on the occasion, Raju Kerni appreciated the initiative taken by PCJ to provide more and more facilities to the working journalists. He said that maintaining the prime objective of providing the better atmosphere for journalists, PCJ has taken a step forward by inaugurating this centre.
Ashwani Kumar in his address said that after taking over new committee has fulfilled its promise of providing a better space to journalists in Club. He said that this had been a long pending demand of working journalists to establish a media centre at Press Club that has been fulfilled.
Vote of thanks was presented by Secretary General Zorawar Singh Jamwal. Treasurer PCJ Dinesh Manhotra, executive members Ajay Bachloo, Surjeet Singh, Vishal Bharti and Dinesh Mahajan were also present.
