JAMMU, Apr 25: In a significant step towards strengthening the industry collaboration and to make the awareness for safeguarding the environment and natural resources especially in the Industrial Estate managed by J&K SIDCO, Managing Director, Pardeep Singh Manhas, held a meeting with the Industrial Associations and Industrial Unit holders of IGC, Samba.
During the meeting the concern regarding running of the Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) constructed in IGC, Samba was emphasized and it was impressed that the running of the Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETP) by SIDCO through Industrial Associations/Industrial units as users of the facility is of utmost importance.
Managing Director emphasized the stakeholders for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Industrial Associations/ Industrial units with SIDCO for the successful running of the CETP for the compliance of PCB guidelines from time to time and for the compliance of directions of Supreme Court of India for the particular CETP.
During the visit Managing Director also inspected the developmental works under execution at Industrial Estate of IGC, Samba and directed the engineering wing to complete the work in prescribed time.
The other officers who accompanied the Managing Director, were Superintendent Engineer (Civil), General Manager (A&P), General Manager (Jammu), Executive Engineer, (Civil) and Manager (Finance/A&P).
