JAMMU, May 27: In order to provide better facilities to pilgrims of coming Amarnath Yatra, Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today held a meeting with Station Director, Railway Station Jammu, Chetan Taneja and other senior officers of Railway Board.
He discussed in detail about the better cleanliness and other basic facilities for Amarnath Yatra. He directed the Railway authorities to start the cleanliness, plantation drive in and around Railway Station, which includes thoroughly cleanliness of all the platforms at Reservation Coun-ters area, sitting areas of pilgrims, parking area on far footing by deploying extra SKCs. He also asked the authorities to install proper counters for further information of Amarnath Yatra, welcome hoardings, plant more and more trees and maintain the park outside the Railway Station in beautified manner, provide pure drinking water for the pilgrims.
The Mayor also assured the Railway authorities that Jammu Municipal Corporations would cooperate with the Railway authorities in making Jammu neat, clean and green during Amarnath Yatra.
