Mayor assures Morning Walkers to fulfill demands

JAMMU, Nov 27: Morning Walkers Association High Court here today organized a function at Manda Hill Top Temple in which Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Rajinder Sharma was specially invited before whom the Association highlighted the problems faced by morning walkers.
Subash Gupta, Association president informed the Mayor that there is a need of increasing the number of benches at the resting places and replacing the damaged ones.
Other demands he raised were construction of shelter sheds in all places where the sitting benches are fixed, fixing of lighting arrangements on the track or solar lights at curves as walkers have to walk in early morning hours, benches at Manda Hill Top Temple and open air gym at Hill Top near temple and other places.
The Mayor assured to fulfill all the demands and asked the DFO Wildlife Jammu to initiate the process for formulation of a detailed estimate to accomplish the job within shortest possible time.
The Mayor stressed on maintenance of cleanliness on the track and preservation of environment.
He urged upon the public to highlight the corrupt elements in administration and make the city polythene free. Prominent among those present on the occasion were J.S Manhas, Rakesh Badyal, Rakesh Singh Jamwal, Naveen Chadha, D.K Magotra, Parmod Sharma and others.
