JAMMU, May 31: An Educational and Motivational Tour for school children of Mawar Valley Naugam conducted by Dagger Division, Chinar Corps met the President of India Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
General Dalbir Singh, Chief of Army Staff and G Mohan Kumar, Defence Secretary were also present on the occasion.
The PM interacted with the children on various topics including the development in Mawar valley, sports, education and schools and their views and thoughts on the tour.
The children were exuberant on meeting the President and Prime Minister. These children in the age group of 13 to 16 yrs from classes VI to VIII have flown for the first time by Indigo Airlines.
They visited Delhi, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Bharatpur and Jaipur on a tour spread over 15 days.
Meeting the President and Prime Minister is a once in a lifetime experience for these children. This interaction would be a motivating factor for them in future.
