Mata Bagalamukhi Jayanti celebrated with fervour, gaiety

JAMMU, May 12: Mata Bagalamukhi Jayanti was celebrated today at Natraj Ji Temple of Shri Raghunath Ji Mandir with great fervour and gaiety. In this connection a grand religious function was organized under the management of J&K Dharmarth Trust, Jammu.
Mata Bagalamukhi is one of the ten Mahavidyas (great wisdom Goddesses) in Hinduism. Mata Bagalamukhi Devi smashes the devotee’s misconceptions and delusions and their enemies with her cudgel. She is also known as Pitambara.
On the occasion the annual Sathapna Diwas and Puja Archana of Mata Mahan Kali and Bhawan Karthike was also performed. It is pertinent to mention here that Murti Sthapna of these two deities were performed by the Chairman Trustee, Dr Karan Singh last year.
A Hawan was also performed in which secretary, J&K Dharmarth Trust, Dr Sat Pal along with entire staff, devotees etc participated. This was followed by Arti in the temple of Mata Bagalamukhi Ji. Later a Bhandara was also organized and holy Prashad was distributed among a large number of devotees.
Administrator Raghunath Ji Temple, Darshan Sharma, and members of civil society were also present on the occasion.
