Martyrs’ sacrifices will be remembered forever: Ganga

SAMBA, Dec 26: Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga today paid rich tributes to Martyr Naik Swaran Singh Badhoria of 16 JAKLI at village Ranjri in district Samba, who sacrificed his life in operation Parakaram at Bishamber border Abohar, Punjab on  December 26, 2001.
The Minister recalled supreme sacrifices made by security forces for upholding the unity and integrity of the country. He said the Army’s history is full of gallantry, sacrifices and innumerable achievements and efforts and dedication of security forces needs highest appreciation.
Ganga urged the people to participate in the nation building process and to work together against corruption and other similar social evils which, he said, will be a true tribute to the martyrs.
The Minister said that the sacrifices and valor of the soldiers would be remembered forever. He said it was due to the supreme sacrifice of our soldiers that the nation was able to defend its territorial boundaries and give a befitting reply to the enemy. “The jawans by the dint of their courage and sacrifices ensured the defeat of the enemy and it should be remembered forever by the nation,” he added.
On the occasion, a large number of people, family members of martyr besides soldiers of JAKLI regiment were present and paid tributes to the martyr.
