RAMGARH, Sept 18: MLA Chander Prakash Ganga, today inaugurated Shaheedi Samarak of Ravi Paul by unveiling his statue during commemoration of Shaheedi Diwas of the Martyr Havaldar Ravi Paul of 10 Dogra BN, at his native village Sarwa, here.
Recalling the valour of security forces in upholding the integrity and sovereignty of the nation, the MLA said that their supreme sacrifices will always remain a guiding force for the posterity besides infusing patriotic fervour among the youth.
The MLA said this while paying homage to Shaheed Ravi Paul, who achieved matrydom while fighting militants in Uri in 2016.
“The country will always remain indebted for the supreme sacrifices of the brave soldiers in service of the nation”, he maintained.
“Army holds special place in our hearts and we are proud of their supreme sacrifices for the cause of the nation”, he asserted. He added that celebration of such occasions in memory of martyrs is imperative to recall the sacrifices of those who scripted a saga of valour as this will be of great help in enthusing a patriotic fervour among the youth who are unfortunately marching towards self decay”, he asserted.
The MLA said that it is only due to the security forces that we enjoy a happy and peaceful life with our families in a total secure environment.
On the occasion, children presented devotional songs as tribute to Ravi Paul besides sons of the martyr Vansh and Sudansh also presented poem as a mark of love for their father.
The MLA also met Malvi Devi mother of Shaheed and Geeta Devi, wife of Shaheed Ravi Paul who were also present on the occasion.
Prominent among others present were Sardar Manjeet Singh Ex Minister, Keshav Dutt Sharma Ex Sarpanch, Vijay Choudhary Ex-Sarpanch and Keshav Dutt Sharma Ex-Sarpanch.
