NEW YORK, May 14: Margot Robbie says besides acting, she loves donning the hat of a producer as she is “hugely passionate” about filmmaking.
The 27-year-old actor, who turned producer with “I, Tonya” last year with husband Tom Ackerley, says long working hours are not a matter of concern when one does what they love and have a good team.
“Producing’s a huge job… But you don’t do it unless you love it. It’s just not worth it if you don’t love it, really, it’s a lot of time and effort for something unless you’re hugely passionate about it.
“But when you are doing something you’re hugely passionate about, you don’t care about the hours or this or that or whatever, and if you’re doing it with your friends, old friends and new friends, it’s not even work at that point,” Robbie told Collider.
The actor will next be seen in “Terminal”, which was shot in 2016 and technically her first production, said she learnt everything on the job with her team.
”We learnt everything on this job, it was the first thing I’d produced so we learnt everything and it was incredibly difficult, but it has made everything since then much easier,” she said.
The movie follows two hitmen (Dexter Fletcher and Max Irons) as they embark on a borderline suicide mission for a mysterious employer and a large paycheck.
Along the way, the unlikely pair discover that a dynamic woman named Annie (Robbie) may be more involved than they had originally suspected.
It also stars Simon Pegg and Mike Myers. (PTI)
