SAMBA, May 31: MLA Samba, Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal today kick started blacktopping work of a road in village Daghore which will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakh.
The length of road is around 3.1 km and the blacktopping work will be done by PWD (R&B) department.
Speaking on the occasion, Manyal said it was a long pending demand of the people of the area and today he is going to fulfill it. He directed the concerned department to complete the work in stipulated time. Manyal said this time no compromise will be made with the quality of work. He said once blacktopped this road will be very helpful for the people living in Daghore and neighbouring villages.
Manyal said that this year 35 km roads will be black topped in the Samba constituency under the plan city and town of PWD (R&B) department. He said that already the tender for construction of CRF road Samba to Sumb has been flouted and hopefully work will be started in the month of July.
Earlier, Dr Manyal started construction work of a culvert at Village Nanke chak, which will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 3 lakh by PWD (R&B) department.
Prominent among those who were present include Sanjay Padha, District BJP secretary, Sanjeev Kumar Mandal, president, Samba, party workers and officers of PWD (R&B) department.
