Manyal dedicates dialysis unit to people at DH Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, June 2: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Davinder Kumar Manyal today dedicated the newly established dialysis unit to the people at the District Hospital Udhampur.
The dialysis unit has been established under Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme.
Member Legislative Assembly, Udhampur Pawan Kumar Gupta was also present on the occasion along with Deputy Commissioner,   Ravinder Kumar, Director Health Services, Jammu, Gurjeet Singh, Director  Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Sameer Mattoo, Mission Director NHM,  Dr. Yashpaul Sharma, Deputy Director Head Quarter, Jammu  Dr. Chander Parkash,  Deputy Director Schemes, Dr. Dimple, Deputy Director Planning DHS, Jammu, Neelam Baru Chief Planning Officer, Ashok Khajuria, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. K.C Dogra,  ASP, Faisal Qureshi, Medical Superintendent, DH Udhampur Dr. Vijay Basnotra, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr. Vijay Raina besides other district officers Doctors, paramedical staff, were present on the occasion.
After inauguration , the Health Minister accompanied by MLA Pawan Gupta took round of the hospital and inspected  emergency block,   OPD, blood bank Laboratory,  CCU, observation ward, blood bank technical room, Ultra Sound, X-Ray, CT Complex, CR work station, special new born care unit, nurses station.  The CMO and concerned staff   briefed him about the setup and patient care facilities available in  the hospital.
Earlier, the Health Minister chaired a meeting to review the progress and achievements of the District Hospital.
During the meeting, MLA Pawan Gupta projected various issues and highlighted  immediate requirement for trauma centre , Anesthesia station, air conditioners, shifting of electric sub-station required for expansion of  the hospital, 50 bedded MCH wing, skin specialist, pediatrician, requirement of maternity ward, gas pipe line , requirement of Qtrs for BMO, & paramedical staff, up gradation of sub- centre Patnitop, construction of NTPHC Cherayi, requirement of supervisory vehicles for district HQ and blocks, up gradation of PHC Panchari to CHC level, etc.
Later, the Minister interacted with a delegation of Medical Employees Federation.  The delegation presented a charter of demands and sought early redress of the issues.
