SRINAGAR, June 2: Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession in Handwara today.
A Police spokesman said that a police party of Police Station Qalamabad headed by SHO Qalamabad laid a naka in their jurisdiction and during naka checking, two suspected persons identified as Mohammad Asif War alias Adil and Mudasir Ahmad Malik, both residents of Audora were intercepted.
He said 140 grams of charas was recovered from their possession and a case FIR Number 39/2018 under Section 8/15, 20, 29 NDPS was registered and investigation was taken up.
