KATHUA, Mar 5: Former Minister and President DCC Kathua Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today launched “Chalo Panchayat Abhiyan” at Mandli Panchayat in Billawar assembly constituency and also interacted with the delegation of youth.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr Sharma said that the main aim of this program was to listen to the grievances of people living in various Panchayats of the State and to connect with the youths and the farmers.
Dr Sharma termed the previous tenure of BJP-PDP Government in the State as a black chapter and further criticized BJP for totally neglecting Kathua district on all fronts.
He said BJP has old practice of promising high among the people before elections and after elections takes u-turns on their pre poll promises. “This time people will give befitting reply to BJP in upcoming elections”, he asserted.
Dr Sharma instructed party cadre to highlights the achievement of UPA1 and UPA2 among the masses. He also instructed them to strength the party at booth level.
Among others present were Sumit Verma, Vipul Sharma, Anirudh Khajuria, Dimple Verma, Dalbir Sethi, Khan Raj, Surinder Kumar, Ishant Sharma and Kuldeep Kumar.
