UDHAMPUR, July 3: Expressing deep concern over the political crisis in State, former MLA and NPP State president Balwant Singh Mankotia has urged the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir N N Vohra to dissolve the present Assembly and hold fresh elections in the State.
While addressing media persons at party office Udhampur, Mankotia claimed that Governor has special powers under Article 53(2) B to dissolve the J&K Assembly and recommend fresh elections in State. “The present political situation requires intervention of Governor to use his special powers and dissolve J&K Assembly in the State,” he added.
Rabet Singh, Amit Sharma and Kuldeep Singh were also present in the press conference.
