Manjit Singh seeks complete ban on drug, illicit trafficking

SAMBA, June 26: S Manjit Singh, the Provincial President of Apni Party, has called for a complete ban on drug addiction and illicit trafficking in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking at a workers meeting in Rajpura, Ramgarh, he expressed grave concerns over the escalating problem of drug addiction, which has been devastating families in both rural and urban areas.
Singh emphasized that the issue of drug addiction has led to numerous criminal incidents, resulting in the loss of young lives.
He urged the J&K Police, civil society, and families to play their respective roles in educating the youth and engaging them in sports activities.
He stressed the importance of channelizing the energy of young people in the right direction and committed the Apni Party to creating a drug abuse and illicit trafficking-free society.
Singh recognized the pivotal role young people play in achieving this goal and commended the youth who joined the Apni Party at the event. He welcomed their participation, expressing hope that their involvement would strengthen the party at the grassroots level and contribute to improving the lives of the younger generation.
In his address, Singh urged the new entrants to unite with the Apni Party in combating the menace of drugs and working towards a better future for all.
Several prominent figures attended the meeting, including Ex-MLA Prem Lal, Raman Thapa, Saleem Choudhary, Bodh Raj Bhagat, Bhagat Ram, Khusbhoo Bhagat, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, Vipul Bali, and Pavneet Kour, who hold various positions within the party.
