SAMBA, Mar 1: Former Minister and senior Congress leader, Manjit Singh today criticized the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for deliberately delaying the proposal regarding the package for PoK refugees to Centre.
Taking a dig at the Government for delay in submitting the proposal in this regard to Union Government for sanction of funds, Mr Singh said that the Union Government was serious to settle this pending issue of the refugees and displaced persons once for all but the rigid attitude of State Government was the greatest impediment in this regard.
Addressing a monthly meeting of the Congress workers at Vijaypur, Singh said that issue of refugees would be solved by the UPA Government which has shown its commitment for the same.
He urged the State Government to submit the proposal to Union Government at an earliest in this regard.
