Manjit demands establishment of fire stations in Ramgarh, Vijaypur

SAMBA, May 5: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today demanded establishment of permanent fire stations in Vijaypur and Ramgarh areas of Samba district to meet the fire emergency.
Addressing a meeting of the people who have suffered heavy loss after their standing crops were damaged in fire in villages of Dadyal, Kanthpur, Garwal, Pakhri, Nandpur, Kesso, Bambo and Chak villages. He said these farmers have suffered a heavy damage.
He demanded that the Government should assess the loss suffered by the farmers in the fire and provide due compensation to them. He said there is the need of establishment of permanent fire stations in Vijaypur and Ramgarh areas where the people have already faced problems due to fire incidents.
He said in the event of fire incident the fire tenders take lot of time in reaching the affected places and till then the entire crop is reduced to ashes.
