Man succumbs to burn injuries, 3 injured in road mishap

JAMMU, Jan 15: A man injured in a mysterious fire at his residence on January 6 succumbed to his injuries yesterday at Chandigarh while three persons were injured today in a road mishap in Narwal area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a man identified as Arun (25) son of Chaman Lal, a resident of Bhantindi and his wife was injured in a mysterious fire at their residence on January 6 following which they were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where the woman had expired after a few days. Thereafter, the injured man was taken for treatment in a private hospital Chandigarh, where he succumbed to his injuries yesterday.
Today, his body was shifted to GMCH Jammu, where after conducting postmortem, it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites. The concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, at Rajeev Nagar Chowk in Narwal area, a Swift car rammed into a stationary car resulting into injuries to three occupants of the car. They were shifted to GMCH for treatment. The concerned police have registered a case in this connection.
