SRINAGAR, May 4: A 42-year old man was shot dead by gun men in Hazratbal area of Srinagar this afternoon.
Police said that he was shot at by two motorcycle borne gunmen at his head in Hazratbal area. He was identified as Abdul Ahad Dar of Gosu, Astan Mohalla, an employee in Mechanical Engineering Department of JLNM Hospital Rainawari.
Dar was removed to hospital immediately after two motorcyclist gunmen shot him around 4:30 pm. He was declared brought dead at SKIMS hospital Soura where he was taken for treatment.
Police is investigating the matter and reason behind the killing. Dar is survived by his wife, daughter and a son.
