JAMMU, Jan 31: A man was shot at by his neighbour over some land dispute in Shiv Mohallah area of Hakkal in Gadigarh here.
As per police sources, two neighbours Deepak Kumar, son of Kasturi Lal of Shiv Mohallah Hakkal and Pankaj Singh, son of Angrez Singh of same area had some altercation over a piece of land.
In a fit of rage, Pardeep Singh opened fire on Deepak Kumar with his licensed revolver, leaving the latter injured.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where he was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
Acting swiftly, a team from Police Post Gadigarh led by SI Rakesh Roshan arrested the accused Pardeep Singh.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
