POONCH, July 27: A man was killed while his wife and daughter were critically injured after a collision between a bus (Canter) and WagnR at Sanai in Surankote area of Poonch district today.
Official sources said that a bus bearing registration number JK12-1469 which was on its way from Poonch towards Surankote, met head on collision with a Maruti WagnR bearing registration Number JK12-8486. It was coming from the opposite direction. The car was badly damaged and turned into wreckage.
All the three injured from the same family were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Surankote where one was declared dead and other two were referred to GMC Rajouri with critical injuries.
The deceased was identified as Bikram Singh (62), son of Thakur Singh and injured as Jasbir Kour, wife of Bikram Singh and Baljit Kour, daughter of Bikram Singh, all residents of Haveli, Poonch.
SHO Surankote, inspector Rajveer said that a case FIR number 224/2022 under sections 279, 337, 304-A has been registered in Police Station Surankote.
Meanwhile, an oil tanker bearing registration no RJ31GB-1326 moving from Srinagar to Bhatinda slipped off the road and collided with side railing on Mughal Road. Tanker driver and cleaner both jumped out of tanker and got minor injuries.
After receipt of information, a team of Army reached there. The police team, from Beramgalla also arrived. They provided first aid to the injured operators.
