Srinagar, Dec 23: Police today said a man was killed while two others were injured in three separate road accidents in Valley and Leh district.
A police spokesman said a vehicle bearing registration number JK03A-4697 met with an accident at Hiller Shababad in Dooru area of Anantnag district, resulting in on spot death of its conductor namely Yawer Ahmad Shah. “The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives and case has been registered in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a motorcycle turned turtle at Awantipora area near Kharmode in Pulwama district, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist identified as Suhail Ahmad Khan. “The injured was shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital Barzalla for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman further said that a Mazda load carrier bearing registration number JK10-9651 met with an accident near Igg village in Leh district of Ladakh Division, resulting in injuries to its driver. “The injured was shifted to SNM Hospital Leh for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
