Srinagar, Aug 13: A 60-year-old man from Kachadia Bagh Bella in Karnah sector of Kupwara district, who was injured in LoC shelling last week, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Srinagar this morning.
The injured civilian who received head injuries last week, succumbed at SKIMS Soura this morning.
He has been identified as Muhammad Yaqoob Mir, 60, son of Barkatullah Mir of Kachadia Bagh Bella. He was injured last Friday along with two other persons from the area.
“Deceased was undergoing treatment at SKIMS Soura but couldn’t sustain and succumbed to his injuries today morning,” the official said, adding that the ceasefire violation on Friday has killed two persons and injured four persons including a woman who are undergoing treatment in Srinagar.
