RAJOURI, Jan 8: The police arrested one person from Nowshera area and recovered 16 bottles of smuggled liquor from his possession today.
Official sources said Police received an information about suspicious movement of a man driving a motorcycle in Nowshera after which police party headed by SHO Nowshera, Mohammad Amin intercepted the motorcycle near bus stand Nowshera.
The man driving the motorcycle was identified as Rajesh Kumar, son of Ved Parkash, resident of Kalal. His bag was put to physical check. During frisking, 16 bottles (750 ml each) of smuggled liquor were recovered from his possession and seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No . 01/2019 under section 48 (A) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station, Nowshera.
