JAMMU, Apr 22: Bishnah police today arrested a bootlegger with 13 litres of illicit liquor.
According to a police official, an information was received this evening by Bishnah police that one person namely Manohar Lal son of Lal Chand, resident of Khairi (Bishnah) is going to sell desi liquor among the youth of the area.
He said acting on the information, a police team conducted the raid near the house of Manohar Lal and nabbed him with 13 liters of illicit liquor. “In this connection, a case FIR No 51/2019 under Section 48 A, 50 F, Excise Act was registered at police station Bishnah and further investigation started,” the official added.
The official further told that the arrested man was supplying illicit liquor among the addict youths and labourers of the area for past some time.
