Man held with 380 fake gold biscuits

Srinagar, June 26: Police today arrested a person along with 380 fake gold biscuits in the Khanpora area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla.
A police party under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla Altaf Ahmad, assisted by SHO PS Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Khanpora Bridge intercepted a person who tried to flee after noticing a police party but was apprehended tactfully.
“He has been identified as Javid Ahmad Dar, Son of Ab Rahim Dar, resident of Khanpora Baramulla. During the search, 380 fake gold biscuits weighing about 380 grams were recovered from his possession. He has been shifted to the police station where he remains in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, police said, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Baramulla and an investigation has been initiated.
