JAMMU, Dec 9: Nagrota police today arrested a man and recovered 1.8 kg charas from his possession.
“A police party of police station Nagrota during checking at Ban Toll Plaza, Nagrota intercepted one Tavera vehicle and during search recovered 1.8 kg of charas from his possession”, a police official said.
He said that accused identified as Ashfaq Hussain Wani son of Gh Qadir Wani, resident of Nai Basti, Khanabal (Anantnag) was arrested on the spot. “In this regard, a case FIR No 265/2017 under relevant sections of law has been registered at police station Nagrota and further investigation of the case is going on”, he added.
The arrest and recovery was made by the team headed by SHO police station Nagrota, Inspector Bhushan Singh Manhas, under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota, Yashbir Singh and SP Rural, Shivdeep Singh.
