JAMMU, Dec 5: Trikuta Nagar police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a man along with 500 grams of ganja and 170 bottles of banned syrup.
As per police spokesman, on specific information, a team from Trikuta Nagar police station laid a naka at Sector 1, Patnitop Morh, Trikuta Nagar and intercepted a i20 car bearing registration number JK02BS-0760.
During checking, police recovered 500 grams of ganja and 170 bottles of banned syrup bottles from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Parveen Kumar, son of Mohan Lal, a resident of Trikuta Nagar.
A case under FIR Number 253/16 under Section 8/20/21/60 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Trikuta Nagar police station and investigation has been started to ascertain the source of consignment.
Police team led by SHO Trikuta Nagar Inspector Bharat Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Chandan Kohli and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
