Srinagar, Apr 20: Police today said it arrested a drug peddler and recovered over one kilogram charas from his possession in Awantipora area of Pulwama disrtrict.
A police spokesman said the police apprehended a man identified as Ashiq Hussain Bhat and recovered 1.5 kilograms of pure charas powder from his possession.
“A case FIR number 48/2016 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered against him and investigation was taken up,” he added.
