UDHAMPUR, Apr 24: A middle aged man ended his life by hanging himself from an iron angle at his tin-shed room in Ward number 8, near Fouji Sweet Shop, Udhampur, here today.
The deceased, identified as Raj Kumar (45), son of Joginder Paul, was found hanging in the room. On being spotted, the family members brought him down and rushed him to the District Hospital Udhampur where he was declared as brought dead.
Later, the body was sent for postmortem. The Police after completion of all the formalities and postmortem, handed over the body to family members for the last rites.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be immediately ascertained while Udhampur Police has registered the case for further investigation.
