JAMMU, Dec 12: A man died while his wife and daughter received injuries in accident near Kunjwani area of Gangyal here today.
As per police sources, a truck hits a scooty near Kunjwani resulting into serious injuries to three members of a family.
After getting information, a team from Police Station Gangyal rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared one of the injured as brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Vijay Gupta, son of Roshan Lal Gupta, a resident of Bohri Talab Tillo District Jammu, while the injured were identified as Rimpy Gupta, wife of Vijay Gupta and her daughter Bhumi Gupta, residents of Bohri Talab Tillo District Jammu.
Acting swiftly, police team seized the truck and arrested its accused driver, who was identified as Jagdish Singh, son of Lakhbir Singh, a resident of Singhpura Miran Sahib District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 184/2021 under Sections 279, 337 and 304-A IPC has been registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
