Man dies in private clinic, family alleges doctor’s negligence

JAMMU, June 9: A 48-year-old man died yesterday in a private clinic during in Trikuta Nagar area following which the family members lodged a complaint in concerned police station against alleged negligence of doctor.
According to a police spokesman, Dina Nath (48) son of Keshav Ram, a resident of Ramban, expired during a surgery at Lochan Nursing Home, Trikuta Nagar in Jammu, last evening. He said alleging negligence by the concerned doctor, the family today lodged a complaint against the clinic at police station Trikuta Nagar.
The spokesman said that after conduction post mortem by a board of doctors in Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
He said on the complaint of the family, the police has registered a case and seized all medical record of the deceased besides equipments being used by the concerned doctor during treatment from the clinic. Further investigations were underway, he added.
