JAMMU, Nov 20: A man died today of alleged alcohol poisoning in Digiana area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a man identified as Jasbir Singh (28) son of late Bachan Lal, resident of Rani Talab (Digiana) was a drunkard and he heavily drunk in a cocktail party, last night.
The official said his condition suddenly deteriorated in the morning and he started vomiting following which he was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he expired in the afternoon.
“After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC were initiated in the case by Gangyal police.
