JAMMU, Aug 26: A man died this evening after being hit by a goods train in Kunjwani area of city outskirts.
“The deceased has been identified as Vinay Kumar Gupta (55) son of Chiranjee Lal Gupta, resident of House No 359, Sector-T, Channi Himmat, Jammu,” a Railway Police official said. He said the deceased was hit by a goods train, which was on its way to Railway Station Jammu, near Kunjwani Fatak at about 7:30 PM.
The official said that the body of the deceased was sent for postmortem at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu while GRP Jammu police had taken cognizance of the matter.
