RAJOURI, Oct 15: A 50-year-old villager was killed after he fell down from roof top of a moving Tata Sumo in Darhal area today.
Sources said that the incident took place when an over loaded Tata Sumo No. JK-11A/1688 was on way to Darhal from Palyarni village. The vehicle was fully packed on this fair weather road and some passengers were sitting on the roof top of the Sumo.
Lal Hussain, son of Firoz Ahmed, resident of  Palyarni fell down from the vehicle due to massive jump on this kutcha road and received serious head injury. He was rushed to Rajouri hospital where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital, Jammu. He succumbed to injuries on the way near Nowshera. The police registered a case in this connection.  People alleged that over loading and travel on the roof top of vehicles was the routine affair and traffic officials and  policemen hardly bother about the issue.
