Man crushed to death

JAMMU, Dec 27: A man was crushed tonight under the wheels of a moving train at Railway Station Jammu.
According to a police spokesperson, the man identified as Nanhai Verma (50) son of Sheetal Verma, a resident of Purelal Sahib in Uttar Pradesh, was crushed to death under the wheels of Archana Express when he fell on the railway track in an attempt to board on the moving train.
The spokesperson said that the deceased was working here in a brick kiln as a labourer and was going to his home in UP along with other companions.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for conducting postmortem tomorrow.
A case in this connection has been registered at police station GRP Jammu and investigations started.
