JAMMU, May 26: A 35-year old man who allegedly tried to end his life on May 24 by consuming some poisonous substance, at his residence in RS Pura, today passed away at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
According to a police spokesperson, the man identified as Jagdish Kumar son of Preetam Kumar, a resident of RS Pura, had allegedly tried to kill him by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence on Sunday (May 24).
On the same day, the man in serious condition was shifted to GMCH Jammu, where he expired at about 11.30 am.
After conducting postmortem, the dead body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
