SRINAGAR, July 4: Two persons including a minor were drowned at two separate places across the Valley.
A police spokesperson said that Shabir Ahmad Chopan, 25, son of Ghulam Rasool of Panzth, Qazigund in Kulgam was drowned in a nearby spring while bathing. The body of Shabir was fished out and handed over to his relatives for last rites.
Meanwhile, a boy identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Ganie, 8 son of Mohammad Sarwar of Dewer Ganie Mohallah, Kupwara drowned in a water reservoir while bathing. The body of a boy was fished out and handed over to his relatives for last rites.
