SAMBA, Nov 6: A man allegedly tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance here today.
As per police sources, during the intervening night of November 5 and 6, a man identified as Viran Panday (26), son of Daniesh Panday of Madhya Pradesh, at present Steel AG Company, Phase-II, Samba consumed some poisonous substance at his residence.
Finding him unconscious, family members shifted him to District Hospital and also informed the police about the incident.
As the condition of the man deteriorated, he was later referred to GMCH Jammu for advanced treatment.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
