JAMMU, Sept 18: A man was today attacked with a sharp edged weapon by two miscreants in Bishnah area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a man namely Sunil Kumar son of Banarsi Dass, resident of Kothey Morh (Bishnah), was returning to his home from a barber’s shop in his locality, this evening, when two men of his village namely Vikram Kumar alias Billa son of Ram Lal and Lovely alias Kalu son of Govind Singh, stopped his way and attacked with sharp edged weapon.
“In the attack, Sunil Kumar got injured badly. Passersby shifted him to nearby hospital for treatment”, the police official said, adding in this connection, a case FIR NO 195/2017 under Sections 341/323 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act was registered at police station Bishnah.
He said after conducting various raids, police managed to arrest one of the accused namely Lovely while efforts were on to nab the second accused. The arrest was made by a police team led by SHO, Bishnah, Inspector PP Singh, under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Surinder Choudhary and overall supervision of SP Headquarters, Jammu, Romesh Kotwal.
