JAMMU, Sept 18: KC Sports Club and Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) registered resounding victories over their rivals and entered into the semifinal stage of the ongoing State Cricket Academy T20 Championship, wherein formidable teams of Jammu Cricket Club and National Cricket Club have already entered into the last four stages at MA Stadium, here.
Former Ranji Trophy players Rajesh Gill amd Vivek Sharma presented man of the match awards to the players in today’s proceedings.
In the first match, KC Sports Club defeated Shastri Cricket Club by 5 wickets.
Batting first, Shastri Cricket Club scored 126 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 18 overs. Kannav scored 48 runs, while Sawan and Mena chipped in with 19 and 17 runs respectively. From Bowling Side, Vivek took 3 wickets while Shubam and Bhanu claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, KC Sports Club chased the target in 15.5 overs for the loss of 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Abhishant Bakshi, Ateev Saini and Bhanu contributed 35, 30 and 25 runs respectively.
From bowling side, Abhinav took 2 wickets, while Sawan and Aman claimed 1 wicket each. Abhishant was declared as the man of the match with a cash prize of Rs 500.
In another match, KCCC defeated Diamond Cricket Club by 20 runs.
Batting first, KCCC scored a good total of 177 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. Shubam Khajuria top scored with valuable 63 runs, while Jatin Wadhawan and Bandeep Singh scored brisk 48 and quick-fire 45 runs respectively.
From Bowling side, Narinder took 2 wickets while Chamkor Singh claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, Diamond Cricket Club managed to score 157 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs, thus lost the match by 20 runs. Chamkor Singh scored thunderous 41 runs, while Parveen and Narinder contributed 28 and 26 runs respectively.
From bowling side, Bandeep and Akash took 2 wickets each, while Ramdayal, Ankush and Manik claimed 1 wicket each. Bandeep Singh was declared as the man of the match and was presented a cash prize of Rs 500.
Now in the semifinals tomorrow, KC Sports Club will lock horns with NCC at 9.30 am and JCC will take on KCCC at 1.00 pm.
