Real Kashmir, Court Road FC win ties

Srinagar, Sept 18:  In the ongoing State Football League event, six matches were played at different venues of Kashmir on Sunday with Real Kashmir, Court Road FC, Syed Taj-ud-Din FC, Kashmir United FC and Real Kashmir FC emerging winners.
In the first A-Division match played at Polo Ground, Real Kashmir FC played a goalless draw with Arfat Sports. Both the teams got several oppurtunities to score, but wasted them. In the second match of the day at the same venue, Court Road FC thrashed Alfatah FC by four goals to nil. Zubair scored two goals for the winning team while Himayoun and Zubair scored one goal each.
In the third match of the day, Syed Taj-ud-Din FC played 1-1 draw with Biscoe XI FC. While Feroz scored the only goal for Taj-ud-Din FC, for Biscoe team Araib was the scorer. In the fourth match of the day Kashmir United FC crushed Royal Sports by five goals to nil in a one-sided affair. Ubair played some exeptional football throughout the game scoring four goals for the winning team while Zahid Shafi scored one.
In Super-Division match played at Synthetic Turf TRC, Real Kashmir FC defeated State Football Academy by a solitary goal. Both the teams played aggressive football throughout the match, but in second half of the match Shahid scored a goal for the winning team. Shahid was declared man of the match for his perfromance.
The J&K State Football League – 2017, involves district level leagues across all 22 districts.  The event is being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) under the auspices of State Sports Council and on the directions of All India Football Federation (AIFF). The premier division teams include JK Bank XI, Forest XI, Police XI, Food & Supplies XI, Accountant General’s XI, Maharaja FC, Iqbal FC, I-League Lone Star KFC, I-League Real Kashmir FC, Power Development Corporation and State Football Academy.
The funds for the event had been earmarked by the government during the budget session in January.
