JAMMU, June 18: Gajansoo Police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Border Police Post Gajansoo led by ASI Sanjeet Singh laid a naka at Galwadey Chak and intercepted a i-20 car.
During checking, police team recovered 108 quarters of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was identified as Rakesh Kumar alias Neeta, son of Ram Dhan of Gajansoo.
A case under FIR Number 97/2020 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Kanachack Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul, SP Rural Jammu Suram Singh and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
