REASI, June 18: Mahore Police foiled two major attempts of bovine smuggling and rescued 51 number of cattle from Shadool and Choudhary Nahad areas of Gulabgarh, here today.
Four smugglers were arrested on the spot and they were identified as Kak Hussain son of Lal Din, Abdul Aziz son of Nazam Din, Laqyat Ali son of Abdul Aziz ( all residents of Kanthi, Tehsil Thuroo , Distt Reasi) and Mohd Iqbal son of Mohd Ayoub of Tuli, Tehsil Chassana, district Reasi.
In this regard, case FIR Numbers 40/2020 and 41/2020, under section 188 IPC were registered and further investigation is going on.
The smuggling bids were foiled by a Police party, led by SHO Mahore, Inspector Rattan Singh Rana, assisted by police party from SPP Ladh and Police Post Dewal under the supervision of SDPO Mahore, Khalid Ashraf and ASP Reasi Surjeet Bhagat.
