Man arrested for trying to outrage modesty of woman

JAMMU, Feb 3: Police arrested a man for trying to outrage the modesty of a woman in Sungal (Plouri) area, falling under the jurisdiction of Akhnoor police station.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a woman hailing from Sungal (Plouri) with police station Akhnoor stating that Jaswinder Singh, son of Dalip Singh of same village entered into her house and tried to outrage her modesty.
According to the complainant, she raised hue and cry and one of his relative caught hold of the accused.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 20/17 under Section 452 and 354 RPC was registered at police station Akhnoor and the accused was arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
