JAMMU, Nov 16: Akhnoor police arrested a man for selling illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, a team from Akhnoor Police Station arrested a man while selling illicit liquor pouches to the people for illegitimate profits.
The arrested person has been identified as identified as Som Raj, son of Tez Ram, a resident of Malpur Chandia. Police also seized 38 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the man.
A case under FIR Number 239/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Shiv Dev Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh.
