JAMMU, Sept 11: Phallain Mandal police arrested a man for selling illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Phallain Mandal Police Post conducted raid and apprehended a person for selling illicit liquor pouches.
The arrested person has been identified as Bablu, son of Suram Singh, a resident of Bhagatpura, Tehsil Marh. 22 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession, which he was selling among the common masses for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 175/17 under Section 48-F Excise Act has been registered at Satwari Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Phallain Mandal Police Post SI Askar Hussain made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh, SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
