JAMMU, Apr 28: Miran Sahib police arrested a man for raping a girl.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a girl with police station Miran Sahib stating that Kishore Kamal, son of Charan Dass of Darsopur, Tehsil RS Pura raped her.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 63/17 under Section 376 RPC was registered and hunt was launched to arrest the rapist.
Based on reliable information, a team from Miran Sahib police station conducted raid and arrested the accused.
The girl has been restored to family members after completing legal formalities, while further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge SHO Miran Sahib SI Kamal Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
