RAJOURI, July 19: The police today arrested one person in Budhal area for the alleged murder of his wife and child at village Targain.
Reports said that on July 15, the charred dead bodies of Noor Jehan, wife of Mohd Nazir and her 4- month old child were recovered under mysterious circumstances at their residence. The police after conducting postmortem of the bodies had handed over them to the relatives for performing last rites.
The police launched inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC on that day. Today after received medical report, the police converted this case into the murder (302 RPC) and detained the husband. The police claimed that the accused has confessed his guilt and reason behind the murder is being ascertained. She had received deep wound with some lethal weapon on her head.
